Looks like you're going to have to get your helicopter tape out if you don't want to lose the paint. 25 miles and chaffing already!
There is a design issue dating back to the earliest Ducatis. One of the lines on the left often scratch the fork leg. The Ducati garage near the factory apparently has rows of Multis with this problem. I heard its not restricted to multis but have to admit, didn't get that on my 848. My dealer sticks a cable tidy to lift it out of the way. Both previous multis had scratches when that came off.
