  1. After a front paddock stand but have never used one before, am I best going for one like this?

Or the type that have the spikes that go into the bottom of the calipers?

Have heard rear stand first then front, would that mean front off first then?

  2. ,ive got same stand no probs with it, front off first then rear

  3. Get one that fits under the bottom yoke for fork removal - unless you have other means of doing so. Or get an Abba Sky Lift - a lot of spondoolies but worth it in the long run - they are a proper toy!

  4. If you get one that has the "spikes" then best to check that the spikes are not too long, and I've had one that rests on the spindle. Not too much of an issue until you want to get the spindle out; or more importantly, back in...

Under the yoke ones are probably best if you want to do things like drop the forks...

I don't use the ones that rest on the callipers anymore... had too many bad issues with them..

  5. Just had a pin made up for my existing headstock stand. Pin is 28mm in diameter. The bearing collar on the pin is 38mm diameter. Works fine.
