Are they the same? I bought one and it doesn’t fit and before I complain I want to make sure they are the same..

The race cap I bought has the bolts around the outer side, 5 I think. The 1299 has inner side, sure there were 4. Anyone with an 1199 able to tell me for sure if it’s inner/outer bolts and if 4 or 5
The fuel caps on the 899, 959, 1199, 1299, V2 are all interchangeable, they have 5 screws around the outside, the inner plastic part is attached to the tank by four screws.
I’ve worked it out. I’m guessing it’s because they do a keyless option…but wtf are they doing having the cap in two pieces?! This has to be the most infuriating bike built. Ever. Period. Bit now solved, thanks
