Hi all, recently there has been a strong smell of petrol in the garage and after inspecting the bikes, it turn out that it wasn't coming from the ducati's but from my latest addtion - 07 mv f4. I recently took it out for a ride and was ok before then but now there was a leak from the back of the tank. I suspected the fuel pump o-ring so took it apart and oh my - the inside of the tank had a few rust spots and the leak wasn't actually coming from the o-ring. there was a very small hole at the bottom of the tank. Now the question is - can i just put some metal putty around the bottom of the tank? Or do i need to go to a fuel tank specialist that will rid of the rust and rewield the tank? (does anyone know a good place near london?) Thanks
It would be worth considering por 15, if you go down the weld or brazing route you will then be looking at a respray. Steve

Thanks guys - that looks like it will work. I'll give that a try- does anyone know if there are stockists in london so that i don't have to wait for next weekend?
I've only seen the motorcycle kit available through the internet. Being Easter, I doubt you will be able to raise Frost until Tuesday. Andy
