Fugly Has Arrived..

  1. The story continues.., an ex BMW addict has seen the light.
Bought my 3rd Ducati within a year, amazing experience riding a 2007 Multistrada 1100S home for 70 miles, first time on a MTS. Wow!
Easy being single, no discussions with the missus.
I have owned 11 BMW's of which 2 BMW GS-es, (1100GS-1150 GSA) and have done around 60.000 km on these bikes.

The MTS is a totally different beast and way better in my opinion , opinions may vary, each to his own. No need to start a flame war.

It took me 20 miles to get used to this bike, after that I felt like I've ridden it for years.
    No holding back whatsoever, WOT!
My 996 and 900ss took a little longer to get used to.
    First MTS ride: AMAZING!
    The bike:
Full service history supplied by second owner . now @ 25.000 km after15 years...
Had its first major service in 2015 at 15000 km, tires from 2015 are still on the bike and only halfway gone. second service 2018 @ 19.500 km, so 5500 km in 5 years.. Garage Queen? , running like new, and I flogged it on the way home.

    cheers!

  5. If that came out next year, everyone would say "Wow nice design" Finally got rid of the beak.
We're all suckers for change to the latest and greatest.

  6. No comparison with the R1150gsa. Totally different machines. I have both. The GSA is a tank, heavy and rock solid. The Multi is far lighter, more responsive on the throttle and feels more alive. Better fuel consumption on the GS, better pillion and load carrier. More fun on the Multi! And holds my record from Calais to Provence despite its small tank. 8hrs 56 minutes 640 miles on the GPS including fuel stops. Seat like a plank!
Love them both for what they are, different.
The 1100s version you have lacks one very important thing. Dry clutch, rattle, rattle.
    Enjoy!
