1198 Fule Line O-ring

  1. FUEL line not Fule :D
Any idea what size and where to get some of the Viton O-rings from for the fuel lines?

Ducati only sell the whole quick release coupling :(

  2. Take this with a pinch of salt, because I haven't checked or even compared, but I read (somewhere on the tinterweb), that the o ring is the same as the one used in the rocker cover bolts.

You will have these off so may be worth checking.

    :eyes:

  3. Look different to me in size and material tbh

  4. Well, you know the tinterweb is full of misinformation. At least we now know they are not the same haha. :handok:

  5. I'm not sure if the 1198 is the same fitting as the 748/916 but if they are I get mine from Industrial & Home Rubber Products Company - Polymax UK the fuel quick release is BS011V75 and while ordering I also get the large fuel pump o ring, BS011V75 as I said these are the ones for the 748/916

  6. I saw some on ebay for 916 and asked if they fitted the 1198 .... nope ... different size apparently

  7. If you can measure one, there will be some on that Web site I posted above. There site gives all the dimensions.

    cheers guys

  9. If they end up being the same as the 916 type give me a shout and I'll post you a couple :) I don't think they are though :(

  11. METRIC VITON 75 HIGH TEMP O-RINGS CROSS SECTION 1MM SIZES 1MM ID - 10.5MM ID | eBay

This seller may have the right size.

Have you nicked one (is it leaking) or are you changing because its good practice. I've had mine apart a few times lately & just sprayed a little silicon in the fitting & not yet (touch wood) had a problem.

Once you have it measured, I would be grateful to know the size; I will get some in for next time.

  12. Just getting spares as a just in case tbh ... thanks for the link

  13. They are very expensive compared to Polymax.
