1260 Full Termi Track Days

  1. With the dB killer in, is it still too noisy? I can't seem to find anything solid on the answer online.

  2. I have an after market decat on my 1200 that was measured at 102db with baffle. Have a feeling that might have been a bit generous but I’d say, based on the full system on the 937 Monster, yours it’s likely to be similar and probably not more than 105db. Last time I did a UK track day, noise limit for Ducatis was drive by not static. So long as you know where the microphone is, short shift just before. Andy

  3. The "db" devil is in the details.
    At what RPM?
At what distance from the exhaust?
At what angle from the exhaust?
What's the environment around the measuring site?

My local track looks at 2/3 of Red-Line @ 15 feet both in front and behind the bike with no readings above 100db.
Sound testing may vary per track.

    FYI:

  4. I get pulled in on the drive by test without the baffle in UK, can get away with it if I keep the revs down a bit in that section. The power drop on the road with the baffle isn't really noticeable most of the time but, on the track you can really feel the difference.

  5. Depends on track. Anglesey and Cadwell should be ok, most are. Donington and Silverstone on noisy days. Castle Combe not a chance, even a standard multi fails there. Rest on noisy days would be lap of gods

  6. My 1260 to my ears sounds quieter with the DB killer in than my 1200 full termi. Been a while but I'm sure my 1200 full termi with baffle tested out around 102 also.
