So I treated my self to more carbon tinsel and I got delivery of the Fullsix carbon belly pan: https://conquestracingltd.com/produ...istrada-950-1200-1260-carbon-fibre-belly-pan/ Problem is, the front exhaust header pipe sits more in the middle which the above belly pan is off centre, I've heard of people having no issues fitting this so I'm curious, has anyone bought the above (doesn't have to be from conquestracing, just the Fullsix bp) and managed to fit it with the OEM header pipes? As from my understanding, the full termi system doesn't change the header pipes. Thanks
I might be wrong here but from memory the downpipes differ between the 1200/1260 I’m sure the 1260 are 4 stud and the 1200 are 3. That shouldn’t make a difference though. Have you got it yet or just going by the picture?
Got it, I'm gonna tackle it again this weekend as I need to do some more work on the bike, I'll grab pics
You shouldn’t have to do that. I bet it wasn’t cheap, so can you not get onto them to send a part that actually fits?
Given I have as much faith in ALL postal systems in Europe as I do a wet tissue not ripping. I'd rather just do the job my self and not waste any more of my time/money with it
Not wanting to state the bleeding obvious, but make sure you wear a mask when cutting carbon. It's really toxic and unless you want back bogies for the next week, it's the right thing to do. You can probably guess how I came to this advice...
All good and VERY sound advice indeed, got my overalls, mask and goggles and hair net (yea, I too have seen first hand what bad PPE can do with cutting cf). Actually, I've got 5 mins free, let me go grab a pic.
In the pic you can see the mold error. The reason it doesn't fit is that extra overlap pushes on the header pipe and won't let it fall into place. So it needs cutting. I'll cut out, sand down and put a new epoxy coat on the raw surface and maybe a satin clear coat over the work area if needed
