Well there i was this morning with the whole day on my own to fit my new bits and to watch the rugby. First I thought move the panigale to the shed where there's more light and my tools. First job fit the performance comfort seat, two minutes.. sorted. Next job fit the carbon hugger, two minutes ...sorted. Next the Performance screen, now do I take the gamble, undo the screws and hope the grommits stay in place? No, do the job properly. I have all day. After watching some Chinese Youtube video I started... Well I must say it was all going well! everything off, new screen fitted, Just reverse the process and all in time to watch the rugby. Sorted. Well thats what I thought... got to the point where all I had to do was put back the plastic tray under the headlight unit, lying on the floor next to the bike. I decided I'd use the handle bar to pull myself up.. You know you do things sometimes and as your doing it your thinking shouldn't have done that.. Well two seconds later the bike lying on top of me, wedged against the side of the shed, and me thinking how did that happen and bugger what am i going to do now?? Phone in pocket... can't reach it. Thats it I'm going to die of starvation under my bike. They will only look for me when the smell gets too much.... Luckly by my head was all the dog towels and my polishing rags, so I managed to stuff them under the bike as best as possible and drag myself out minus my trainers.... Thankfully the Panigales are light, jumped up and lifted it back up. Damage... 2mm scuff on clutch lever at the bottom. How lucky am I???? Haven't stopped laughing since......
"You know you do things sometimes and as your doing it your thinking shouldn't have done that.." ... yep .. usually it results in a big bill ... sounds like you were lucky. made me laugh.. exactly the sort of thing I'd do
Very lucky......you now just happen to have an excuse to buy some nice new blingy levers. Did your wife buy that story? You could have just asked her permission. :Hilarious:
You've been bloody lucky there! I take it he bike was in its side stand not a paddock stand? When I had a puncture and was parked at the roadside I had to leave the bike with the side stand in a pot hole as it wanted to fall over all the time it was so upright. The side stand is short on these I think.
Yes.. on the side stand.. Next time i think i'll use the paddock stand, as that's why i bought it!!!!! You live and learn.. well not in this case.
