Garmin 220 to 660 Conversion

  1. Multistrada factory option Garmin 220 handlebar mount bracket converted to take the Garmin 660 motorcycle mount.
My Multistrada which I bought second hand had a factory option Garmin 220, but I had a 660 with motorcycle mount which I wanted to replace it with. I have used the 220 handlebar mount and I've converted it to accept the 660.
Apart from using longer screws to make it work, it's only cost me less than £5 to make, plus some labour!

  2. Where is the thumb screw?

  3. The large diameter knurled factory bolt was exchanged for a 35mm No8 hexagonal bolt as pictured.

When I sell mutley I may include the original Garmin 220, I've avoided modifying the sat nav relay located under the left panel and removed it for reinstatement later. The 660 is now wired back to the offside Aux and remains switched from the ignition, easy to remove and reinstate at a later date.
