Hi All I have noticed that when changing up I really have to hoof up the gear lever on my 2003 999 to the point that my heel is pretty much of the foot rest and when changing down it takes the same effort but in opposite direction. The bike has only done 16,000 so I think worn gear selector should not be am issue , or is it?? I have adjusted the rear sets and linkage a couple of times but doesn't seem to have made much difference , I will try more adjustment as they are at the highest and most rearward point. Anyone had similar problems?? Regards James
I only did it on my 620 but I guess it reads across. Not massive you just need the right tools. The part you need is pretty cheap too. http://ebay.to/1DHI6sl It's the spring and or the teeth that wear out. Not sure this fits but I think most read across. Just check before you buy.
