Not entirely. That’s the gear learning procedure. In order to do a reset, you first need to reset the gear indicator with the diagnostic tool. Tbh, pretty much without fail, the reset will work for a short while and then start playing up again. If you’re looking at it because your indicator is playing up, replace the sensor.
Yes, the gear indicator (with the bike in neutral) flickers rapidly between neutral and first. The bike is a 2015 multi 1200s dvt. Thanks nelly.
Went to replace the gear sensor today, and the unthinkable happened whilst removing the faulty one… what would be involved in retrieving that, I wonder?
