1098 Gearshift Link Rod

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by bigjimmyb, May 18, 2023.

  1. Hi Folks,

I've got a set of aftermarket rear sets and a quick shifter.

The QS is going but I want to keep the rear sets. Problem is the standard 1098 link rod is about 110mm short.

So ideally I could use a 110mm to go with it or get a 250mm one to do the job.

Can anyone recommend a company that makes that kind of thing?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Thanks Jack

Funnily enough I was looking at those.

Have also re-measured and the total length of the QS rod is c243mm, so I reckon I'd get away with 240mm and use the adjustment nut at each end?

Sorry for being a luddite (again)!

  8. Thank you @Petsmith

Could you give me an idea on price?

assume it would come with required fittings also?

    Many thanks

  9. Fittings? I can machine you a rod. You need to make a drawing. Price depends on what you want and how much work it is.
