Hi Folks, I've got a set of aftermarket rear sets and a quick shifter. The QS is going but I want to keep the rear sets. Problem is the standard 1098 link rod is about 110mm short. So ideally I could use a 110mm to go with it or get a 250mm one to do the job. Can anyone recommend a company that makes that kind of thing? Thanks in advance BJB
EBay. Something like this. It’s only a drilled rod. Many different suppliers. can’t recommend any. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16536977...luQgXR_RVK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Thanks Jack Funnily enough I was looking at those. Have also re-measured and the total length of the QS rod is c243mm, so I reckon I'd get away with 240mm and use the adjustment nut at each end? Sorry for being a luddite (again)!
Thank you @Petsmith Could you give me an idea on price? assume it would come with required fittings also? Many thanks
Fittings? I can machine you a rod. You need to make a drawing. Price depends on what you want and how much work it is.
Hi @Petsmith - I'm looking at something like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165799083686 By fittings I mean the eyelets and nuts etc at each end. Thank you.
LH & RH rod ends are easy to source separately: https://www.mcgillmotorsport.com/rod-end-bearings-c-88
