Get shot of rearsets ?

  1. Hi

Got a little 250 Mk3 last week and gorgeous she is indeed! Seems to work well but I doubt I'll be able to get on with the rearsets. Old injuries, old age and general decrepitude mean I can't get my feet up there. Changing gear is particularly difficult.

So is it really worth persisting in the pain and effort. It's got tidy clip-ons too, of course. Could I keep them and just change the footrests? Or is that simply silly? (The top yoke has the mouldings to take bars so I could put a pair on again - if I can find the caps to hold them on.)

And If I do decide to change it all back, where would you set about looking for parts and would you keep the clip-ons and extra gear and brake linkage etc?

    All advice gratefully received.

  2. Not many single owners on here. Do whatever you're comfortable with, there's some specialist shops that sell s/h spares that advertise in the DOCGB mag.
Classic Ducati, Widecase, Moto Marianna, and Paul Klatkiewicz(Ducati Technical Services).

  4. Try Ducati UpNorth as well, might be able to give you a steer…
