Per the title I guess - good mod, or not worth it (brighter bulbs a decent option?) Will be done by a skilled person (not me lol) - is this easy on 749? If worthwhile, which make and which "powers"? As ever, thx any info and opinion. Andrew.
Hi DoctorW Cant answer your question sorry - However I thought I was the only person in the world who wanted to fix the grey problem - I love my S to bits but have always questioned the Grey headlight unit - a complete colour mistake in my opinion - Last year a sprayed just the nose black so it would appear black around the lamps only - as a tester for the bigger job - I liked it - As I write this im now assembling the now black unit and connecting up the loom What are you doing with yours Home - Ducati 999 Regards
PS - If you look on my site above and click on the 999s tab on the left there are a number of images - look on the top row then the one second form the end has the front profile with the painted nose area - last year
Got my headlamp bucket and fairing stays painted black this year. Looks good IMHO. Just and FYI HID kits don't comply with MOT rules if the beam pattern is adversely affected.
Cheers for replies. My bike is gloss black with what I think is a sort of satin black frame. Getting the headlamp bucket and fairing "wings" painted or powder coated satin black to match (leaving paint option to chaps doing the work). Should look good, specially as my silver paint was starting to lift. Thx again and nice bikes btw.
