  1. Having a general mooch around the bike as big mileages coming up tuck and fast, found this bit of wiring under the nosecone, I have never met it before, any ideas what it’s for, auxiliary lights maybe.
    Bike is 2013 Skyhook.

    keep safe and well.

  2. not much help but I’ve had my 2014 PP nose off several times. Never saw that wire.

  3. I've never seen a connector like that before. I don't think it's for the aux lights.

The only ideas I have is either the keyless antenna mounted under the nose fairing or maybe the Skyhook accelorometer on the lower fork clamp. Have you got any errors on the dash? Does the keyless ignition still work?

  4. That looks like a connector from a sensor, maybe the outside temperature sensor, or oil pressure sensor

  5. No error messages the temp sensor is working fine, hope I don’t need the services of an oil pressure sensor!!

  6. Pretty sure, part 12, switch assy. oil pressure, takes the same connector that's in your photo!!;)

  7. I don’t think that can be it, location is wrong, this bit of wiring is coming out near the front of the Beak , quite a way from the radiator.

  8. If it is oil temperature sensor rather than pressure, would explain why it runs normally and does not show a fault. Either way, I am sure you will solve the mystery!
edit, it would be pressure not temp as above diagram...

  9. Erm, wasn't suggesting it was from the radiator but possibly from the oil cooler which sits in the beak! Be interested to know where it does belong when you find out though.

  10. Looks like the oil pressure sensor wiring. Sensor is in 5he oil lines going to the cooler

  11. Just noticed the same cable disconnected on mine.

It is the Oil Pressure connector (actually on mine has a label stuck on the cable - "OIL.P" ). Is long enough to reach the sensor connector on the other side of the oil cooler.
