Fitted a 42l givi top Box using the iconic adaptor plate. However noticed that the box doesn’t pull down tight enough at the back, hence it rattles around on rough roads I’ve fitted two of the rubber grommets to help but now it won’t fasten down as it’s too tight. I ended up Cutting off half of the grommet top to make it fit. Not ideal. Is there another rack that fits better? Anyone found this on theirs?
I've original Givi boxes and plates on both my bikes. The rubber plugs wear/compress with use, they also fall out from time to time so I keep spares in the garage. New ones are always tight but I've never had the problem of the box not fitting after putting on new ones though.
