He’s posted a video, tbh way too long and of not interest to me in him giving his own racing obituary, but seems he has retired from all road racing. Now I didn’t make it far enough to know if that includes circuits (which it normally does) or he is being literal to NW, TT etc
I don’t follow riders socials so I missed it, did wonder why the bbc was the first I’d heard of it though!
A long and tedious video saying he wasnt doing the roads. Could have done it in a passing comment but i guess he wanted to get people clicking on his profile. Very Ho Hum.
sounds like you might indeed think he’s as bigger bell-end as I do! I’m deffo in the minority though. He seems to have some something to get more fans than much more established riders have
Let’s face it bsb would be screwed if it wasn’t for pbm and the family continuing on after PBs passing. Shame they can’t have a team mate for Irwin (again not everyone’s cup of tea and who is these days) but that can only be good news for British motorcycle racing in general, and we need some good news these days.
At Ducati Hyside in Maldon on 5 December if anyone is interested Speed & Legends: Hyside Motorcycles' Evening with Glenn Irwin Tickets, Thu, Dec 5, 2024 at 7:00 PM | Eventbrite What a shit location they moved to might i add. Complete and utter single lane nose to tail traffic ballache to get to.
Going from where I live near Rayleigh the roads to Maldon are a hoot if you time it right. Went to see Baylis. Not too fussed about GI.
17 miles and 36 mins for me. Can do it in 20 on a good ‘spirited’ run. A lot of people in a lot of cars going back to the hundreds/thousand of newly built houses…..
Perils of living in the south east isn’t it mate. We had a new junction built recently on the m11 and every time the motorways fucked the traffic streams through our village and if there’s roadworks on the main road they detour all past my house at 4 in the morning. Glorious. One of my biggest (and only) regrets not moving to the Peaks District a couple of years ago.
