ok lads after 2weeks in trying to find a good seller for aftermarket fairings it takes its toll searching i have found a seller in china i have ordered from with some changes to the paint work ofcorse. At the end of the day youve got to put trust in one of the sellers lets hope there good as they say they are . Am really hoping the paints good and we get a nice fit with not too much gaps etc as my bikes is my pride and joy .just wondering if anyone on here has bought from them on here before . This was similar to the ones that were fitted to my 1198, originally bought by the first owner to facilitate removal and preservation of the OEM fairings. Still have the invoice for them in the history (£550 + delivery so not cheap ones), fitted OK but very flimsy and most fixing points had been modified when fitting to get satisfactory fit. Fixings broke easily over time (during servicing) due to being much thinner and brittle following being exposed to the radiated heat from the engine and exhaust... I'm back on original fairings now which just look right and notably better to my eyes... Would also be interested to hear how you get on Gary, just out of curiosity to see if Chinese have improved the quality of their gear. Ben.
Some of the holes needed to be opened a little due to excess paint and the l/h side vent needed a little material removing to accommodate the top rad hose. My hoses are none oem, so that may explain that. How they last long term, time will tell. Paint work could have been better in places if you look really closely, but overall very pleased with them.
my mate bought a set and he was impressed at the abs plastic quality for his 916 that was 3 years ago bikes still like new so am hoping it looks as good too . i want to keep my originals in mint condition as bikes like new they were very helpful told them all the changes i wanted to the paint work worked with me until they got all the mods correct sent pictures of another 1198 they did for uk the lad was very happy with the finish 3 cotes of paint with 3 of laquer nice and thick 3 to 3 1/2 mm plastcis sent me pictures of the factory machines etc . Garantess 99 percent red match to my oem tank . Heat shields allready fitted but i might add more for piece of mind should get them in two week so i will post up pics for you all
There was a chap at Silvertone yesterday with a set of chinky Martini ones on his Pani. He was telling me how pleased he was with them. Sorry, didn't ask the actual supplier.
Ive been two weeks looking on google for sellers and these guys had over 100 pictures and reviews from buyers all over the world they have a good set up and for £400 plus what the customs will be he did just put down a. 50 dollat value so maybe 35 quid etc say 450 maybe all in if they fit nice finish nice i do about 2000 miles if am lucky shes a very nice day bike here in scotland i have my other hack bike for running around so hoping shes the dogs when finished i love my ducati i just go to garage and look at her best move i did getting her
