V4 Go Pro Mounting Points

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Oly, May 10, 2023.

  1. I’ve just bought a GoPro for a trip I’m doing. Where is the best place to mount it in the v4s? Pics would be good or if there’s a specific mount that works best

  2. The Evo Tech looks a bit low to me and given the crap that the V4 front tyre throws up you could be cleaning it a lot! I have an OLFI camera in a waterproof case and that is stuck with a 3M pad to the black nose fairing just below the tip of the RHS winglet. It has been there a year and is still rock solid.

  3. I use two positions, one mounted on a Ram mount on the handlebar by the LH mirror and the other is on a suction cup I use on the side panel. I point this forwards and on other occasions backwards. It’s always good to try and get different view points to help mix up the edit otherwise it gets a bit dull. Also add stills and iPhone footage when you stop.

Here is a video of the last EMM I did

  5. Great video and I understand the stills idea.
    So will take it onboard.
I agree with the Evotech being too low. I’d like one like the mount on the winglet, is that a specialist part?

  6. In any of the videos on my channel, you can see the different angles that you can capture from the camera position, for example in these two:

  7. I just stuck a 3M sticky GoPro mount on the front windscreen just below the vent. I can then loop a cable tie from the GP cage, through the vent and around the lever inside that raises/lowers the screen - JIC the sticky pad should give way.
