Would anyone like to offer advise, on the best practice. My ducati 748 has been in storage in Australia for nearly five years. I'm looking at bringing to the UK. I know it will need some attention before it's ready for the road. Has anyone been in a similar situation and what did they have to do, to get back on the road. Eg tyres, battery and belts.
the best way forward is to make sure the 748 is safely onboard the ship, give it a few days to ensure that it's far enough away then nuke Australia. your bike will be worth more and we will have less aussies...
How much is it going to cost to shop and import it? The alternative is to buy another 848 in Blighty. Cheaper, no?
Thats what I did, sold my 848 before I came back. Way too much agro registering here for no gain. Unless its a real limited edition hens teeth rare Supermono just treat yourself to something new. Long term it'll be a pain in the arse. Do a good bit of research through the DVLA, cost of shipping, selling on in the future and proving its not been down the road more times than the grit wagon in winter.... Welcome back to Blighty and welcome to the forum
I was gunna say , you always nuke the ones you love... But that's not true as I nuke ex and el all the time and I can't stand those fuckers!!!!
