Well looking back to getting back into the fold after a few years off the bike. Ducati history goes back a while I rode a 900ss Bevel back in the day (1980 - 1982), which I had to sell to get over a cash flow problem - I was skint. This of course illuminates my maturity -aka being an old git, I bought a Terblance 900ssie some years back, then had to lay it up for a few years as something to do with building a house got in the way. A message from experience - when laying up a bike, drain the fuel tank, as I'm now waiting for a replacement tank to be undented and resprayed (yellow as opposed to the proper red). With the well documented grumpiness of the older gentleman, also comes arthritis and painful hips, this means that the Ducati 'frog' riding position now merely makes me distinclty uncomfortable (those who frequent the Ponderosa on top of the Horseshoe may have noticed an old git weeping into a coffee.....) Anyway, the ss is to be eschewed in favour of a Monster 900 - so am in the process of removing all mods to return her to her natural state ready for the swap. My besty WAH900ss is soon to be the proud owner (he'd better look after the old girl) and he in turn will be the supplier of a rather lovely dusky Monster. (Which will be modded tastefully ....... )
