Been out today on my 2013 MTS - the screen is much better for my size (5ft 8in). In the lowered position it was great for back road riding, the upper position worked well on the motorway. I found if I slouched slightly when 70+mph, I had a comfortable spot which was not too noisy. Higher speeds resulted in air passing over my head easily. For those taller Ducatisti I think they may be more exposed to turbulence - will need other views!
Well, it is tall but I can either get both toes on the ground or one foot flat. Happy enough and got used to it.
Its more getting on and of for me, you need to be some kind of chuck norris to get your leg high enough to clear the rear seat, and with leathers got no chance. Balancing one one tip toe never an issue
Alternative mounting technique; stand to the left, right hand on the front brake, left foot on the left peg and lift yourself up on that peg thence up & over with the right leg, just like a horse. Easy. Reverse for dismount. Bit dicey for well fed Yanks though.
Always worried about putting additional weight and bearing on the stand plate. Do this on my DR but if that fell over its no biggie
