Goodridge bolts

  1. It appears I have to get a 'proper' Goodridge double banjo bolt to fit the front brake master cylinder.......There are apparently 'Long' and 'Short' versions.....

...the one I need, I think is approximately 30mm long....is that a 'Long' or a 'Short'?

(Fitted some older Goodridge stainless braided hoses, but the double banjo bolt was missing, so I have had to use the OEM one with double/treble the copper washers.....doesn't leak....... but...

    1) It may be impeding the fluid flow because I get almost a double action on the brakes when applying them...It isn't air...

    ....and......2) I don't trust it).

    Thanks AL.

PS....If there is a used one laying around, I'm not averse to it.

  2. What thread, Al? M10 x 1.00mm? May have one in the garage... have just moved house so everything is organised but disorganised...

  3. Hi Darren, As far as I am aware it should be M10 x 1.0mm....as you probably know, Goodridge bolts have a dished head.......I believe it should be a 'Short' double....

Guessing from what I have had to do to the OEM one with the extra washers, I think the Goodridge Short length would be about 30mm or just under (excluding the head)...

    AL.

  4. Al,
i have one that is 35mm and would work with the vareous washers (which i don't have!!)

Give me a shout and i will endever to drop it round on Sat :)

  5. Thanks Paul.....If it is 35mm, I reckon it is an OEM one and is too long.......the OEM hose banjo heads are 10mm 'wide', but the Goodridge ones are about 8mm.............that throws the hole positions in the OEM bolt out of kilter with the banjo heads.......hence needing extra washers.

  6. Hi Al,

I'll have a look in my box of bits and add it to the package I'm sending you if I've got one.

  7. Thanks Martin..
