GPS/ intercom

  1. Hi, thanks to all on the sound advice on screen choice for my mutley 1200s, just received double bubble smoked sports screen from eBay today. Looks the absolute dogs danglies but the weather's been a bit rough to try it out! Can anyone here advise on GPS, mounting/ wiring, best quality/ price. Planning on travelling through France to Madrid in May so continental maps would be handy. Also bike to bike intercom. Have read plenty on the web but would prefer any helpful guidance from you guys on this forum.
    Thanks. Anto.

  2. Hi there.
I've no experience with GPS, but in terms of intercom I've been using the Cardo Scala Rider Q3 and can recommend it easily. Battery lasts for a good while, the sound quality is very nice (as long as you're not speeding:wink: ), the range is reasonable, it's mostly waterproof (we've had some issues after riding in rain for pretty much a whole day - but not sure if it was caused by rain to be fair), it connects to a few bluetooth devices at the same time, so you can listen to your music from an ipod and then take a phone when needed, and has a built in radio should you want one :) Also you can set it to voice-activate, but can't say how well it works as I haven't tested it properly.
Finally, it automatically adjusts volume to wind-noise, which is very handy. Probably has more functions which I never tested and bothered to read about :upyeah:
Costs 200 euros here in Ireland, per unit, so 400 for two. What is that, about 350 £?
