  1. Hi all,

My satnav arrived yesterday so have just gone out to garage to fit the garmin power cradle upto the gps power plug on the bike. 1704349154.jpg

But the connector that plugs into the connector is missing, my question is does anyone on here have one they are not needing and would sell to me?.

    Please see attached photo.

    Thanks in advance

    Greg

  2. Sorry, just realised, do you need the connector in the picture? i would go back to your dealer and ask for one as it was missing

  3. Hi jim
Many thanks for your reply, yes i need the part in the picture,i brought the bike second hand, so i think the previous owner had connected to it but forgot to leave the plug attached to the bike.
I'm gonna speak to dealer tomorrow and hopefully its available as a spare.

  4. Ahh, I see. the dealers are pretty good and probably have a few spare in the toolkits. If they cant then these guys have them albeit a tad expensive

  5. When I traded my multi I kept the plug as I used it in the new one. Guess I am not the only one who does that. :)

  6. No need for the connector, cut the wires on the bike end and fit your own connector or wire directly.

Mine came with no connector so I just wired direct after cutting. I just popped into maplins and purchased my own connectors.

  7. if you can wait,i get home on Friday i might have one, when i bought my 848 it had the Garmin wiring harness and cradle but no GPS
so i bought a new Nuvo 600 took out the GPS itself and shut the box, when i get home i will dig it out and see
if there is one you are more than welcome to have it... got to find it first though!!

  8. Thanks chris, thats very kind of you.
i have however ordered a connector and pigtail off the interweb
    so all sorted

  10. Ditto, with my own connector. I always use these ones for everything I do on the bikes from lighting to satnav and other accessories.

  12. That's a good point. Good ol' Maplin. Full of knowledgable, spotty 40 year old virgins and teenagers. Probably too busy thinking about that cracking locomotive they saw at the weekend, and got muddled up.

  13. I've just found my connector (as in the first picture) do I peel away it the flattened end or try and uncover the wires at the plug end?

  14. Hi Nick,

Yes mate, that's what I did.

  15. Thanks Jim

  16. Bit of a thread resurrection but with the Ducati two way connector, which side is + and which -?

  17. IIRC you can see on the other end thats connected to the bike. Think I may have trial & error mine before I fitted permanently

  18. OK, might try it with a chocolate block connector first to see which is which.

    Cheers
