Hi. I’ve ALWAYS wanted a Panigale, could never afford one and then won one last Thursday when I was in the pub discussing our forthcoming tour of the Pecos Mountains in Spain with my biking buddies! Best £11.97 I’ve ever spent bar none. This arrives tomorrow.. it may take me a while to stop dribbling and stroking it I’m just east of Haywards Heath if you’re down this way.
Welcome. Daft question, but if you’ve always wanted one, why are you already advertising it for sale on another forum before you’ve even picked it up ? Seems a bit disingenuous to join this forum on the pretence that you’ve lusted after a Pani for years if you’re simply taking advice from the other forum and have joined here to sell it. You’d be better to advertise it now rather than in 2 weeks with an ‘I love it but my back can’t cope so regrettably it’s for sale ‘ sob story. You’ve won it fair and square so are perfectly entitled to sell it without some fake groundwork first.
Fake groundwork..? Honestly. If you’d read it you’d have noticed the quote “Heart says ride, head says sell. So I am testing the water to see if you can persuade me one way or the other.” I do a LOT of touring and although it’s a thing of extreme beauty I gather it’s the world worst touring bike…? So undecided whether to keep it or not tbh, as it would be a shame to have it sat in the garage. In the meantime it’s insured and ready to ride when it arrives. But thanks for the warm welcome. Always nice to see some of the grumpy UKGSER mob elsewhere… Just because I’ve lusted after something on a visceral level doesn’t make it practical going forwards.
My new Italian girlfriend is tucked up in the garage awaiting tomorrow (Weather permitting) for her first outing. I think I’m going to christen her “Sienna”
