899 Grip Preference

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Neilkemp89, Aug 17, 2016.

  1. Just a quick question, which grips do most people prefer? Ive read alot of good reviews on the Progrip Race Grips. Just want some of your opinions before I go and buy a set.

    Thanks
    Neil

  2. I use pro grips on one of my bikes and find them superior to the OEM ones. They were of course used by Ducati on many bikes in the World Superbike championship and as such have been sold by them as alternatives to the stock grip.

  3. I'm on a different bike but grip-puppies are easy to add & remove.

  4. I second these - hard to het on though VERY tight

Also changed gloves to Knox handroid pods which are quite thick leather so make the grip easier to grip "less curl of the finger"

Found standard grips too skinny which dowsnt help precision on the throttle as you are holding too much curl in the hand.

  5. Talking about grips; do you guys know throttle spacers?

  6. I have the Progrips on mine. By far the best value mod I've done.

I have the throttle spacers as well which is a massive improvement

  7. You can order them from Ducati Coventry to save on shipping, but you will need a tri-wing bit to undo the throttle assemble. By far the best modification to a Panigale unless you love the unpredictability of when the throttle action starts!....

  8. Anyone got any recommendations for grips that are thicker

I too suffer with the standards

  9. Throttle spacers and Progrips ordered :grin:

  10. Pro grip here too. Can't remember which version though.

  11. Renthal for me. They do them in a smaller diameter for those with small hands - like me.
