Ground Anchor Recommendation

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Pavey, Apr 29, 2014.

  1. Is there a particular ground anchor that is seen as better than the rest? For fitting, is it just a case of smashing the ground and concreting it in?

    Thanks.

  2. I have the Abus WBA100. I think its best to drill into the concrete and use the supplied rawlbots.

  3. Cant help with which ground anchor is best, I can with the installation though.
You will need a 240 or 110v hammer drill and a masonary bit to suit the fixings supplied with the anchor.
If you use a 110v drill you will need a transformer as well,my advice is take your anchor to a builders merchants who also have a hire dept [most Jewsons] and they should be able to help.
Most important point of installation make sure you have at least 75mm thick concrete, the best security in the world is only as good as its weakest link.
One last thing, its better to do the drilling early on a Sunday morning it gets the neighbours out of bed.
