Guy Martins TT 2014 odds have just got much WORSE!

  1. With the fantastic news that Conor Cummins is to join Honda with John McGuinness. This is surely the best rider line up that Honda have had in a long time.

I can feel some local winds coming on next year for the big lad.

  2. Erm...better than Dunlop (who won nearly everything) and mcPint (who won the rest) last year?!

    I sense a merge coming....

  3. Yeah it has taken Conor a while to get mended but I reckon 2014 he will be in rude health and I reckon he could even have the beating of John too.

  4. He'll need to because I think Dunlop will end up on a competitive bike and Hutchy is charging back into form, and look what he did when fit. Could be genuine 4 riders who could take races next year

  5. you can take anything away from Hutchy in 2010, but Mcpints HM Plant broke down after two laps with a snapped chain in memory serves
but i agree, that at the moment, Dunlop is better than Cummins

  6. Met Conor Cummins & John McGuiness at Motorcycle Live this afternoon in their Honda Team gear at the TT stand. Great blokes particularly John McGuiness, best you don't mention Conor's crash to him which my mate did, think he prefers to forget about it!

  7. Tbh surprised he can remember it!

  8. I don't think he can Bradders, only what he has seen on DVD same as the rest of us. That's why he was not bothered to get back on. I shudder every time I go around the Varandah just looking down...lol

  9. I don't look ! Just keep it lent over lol
    23rd year of going in 2014 ;)

  10. Aye me too now! But I did live there for 30 years, drove taxi's there for 12 years and passengered at the TT on 5 occasions so I definitely know what is down there

  11. I sense a merge coming....[/QUOTE]

    This made me smile:upyeah:

  12. He can ride can Mr Cummings but not as well as John. I am certain whatever Connor can do John will match it and better.

  13. +1 John was unlucky, Taking NOTHING away from Hutchy but If Ryan Farquhar had also not broken down on the Last Lap that would have been another race he did not win. :frown:

  14. I wonder if Martin missed the boat that year as he doesn't seem to be top one or two since. And even NW200 does t seem to get him on top...

  15. Get GM on the same machinery. Then he has no excuse (oh and I like GM and would love to see him win a TT - he deserved at least one)

  16. Is Bruce Ansty riding next year?

  17. I hope so:upyeah: he is one of the best to watch around the roads, Isle of Man and The North West 200.

  18. cummins has got to be scarred mentally from that near fatal smash imho

he hasnt been quite the same since

  19. Martin's results have been hard to judge as he's been on the Suzuki, whilst the Honda is evidently the bike to have on the Island at the moment. The R1 hasn't done anything, although Hutchinson might change that, whilst none of the big boys have really tried a Kawasaki (Farquahar's aren't at the same level as the BSB or WSB ones in terms of budget or tuning), a BMW, or even a Ducati or Aprilia? If Dunlop really isn't racing this year then McGuinness has to be the favourite for the big bike TTs.

  20. No not at all. He has no recollection of the crash itself. In all honesty, up until not Conor has struggled to be as fit as he was prior to the crash and that is what has held him back. A fully fit Conor will be a force to be reckoned with. He is capable (like John) of breaking the field on the first lap.

I think it will be honours even next year, John will take the opening big bike race and Conor will take the Senior.
