Anyone changed their stock headbulbs to more xenon look bulbs with H11 socket? Do not want to go HID but just want to change the bulbs to get a mor bluish look. Any suggestions? 35/55w 4300-5000-6000k? Thank's.
Fitted Philips Diamond Vision H11, look much better than standard. Bought them from Car Bulbs, Headlights, Xenon Bulbs | Philips & Osram | PowerBulbs
Not the cheapest of options but if you can find an LED set off the 1199S then you can pretty easily retrofit them. That's what I did!
Is riding in the dark made any easier with these bulbs? are they an upgrade to the standard bulb or is it purely to get the white light look? Thanks Paul
Is it difficult to change the bulbs yourself? It seems a bit narrow space around the socket... How do I:flushed: proceed?
With a 55 watt Halogen H11 you will not get anything that gives more light but you may get a slightly different colour. The Halogen bulb is as good as it will ever get as it just cannot be developed any more. HID is the way to go. Don't bother trying to fit an LED bulb into the halogen housing as they are not much good. Have a look at THIS it might help you decide what to do.
Thanks Bob T had HID Xenon on my 1198s. Wanted the xenon look by only changing the H11 bulbs and not full HID kit this time:grin:
If you PM me your email I'll send you a step by step guide I did It's a bit fiddly but pretty straight forward
