Any one tried these? Halvarssons Advance Glove - Black/White I'm fed up with linings detaching and bunching up. My three season Berings have just let go despite claiming to have unmovable linings. The Halvarssons look good, they're a good price and they CLAIM the linings will never pull out. Never heard a bad word about their other gear. I've got a run on Sunday and I'll have to get some new gloves first. Wondering whether these might be worth a punt.
Well I bought some. They do feel good and look very well made. I'll let you know if they're any good.
Let us know how you get on. I've just had to bin some of these Alpinestars GT-S X-Trafit after little more than a year because the bloody lining has detached and bunched-up so I can't get my fingers in properly :-(
Likewise Rukka ones, replaced 3 times before they refused to change them again, and my Bering have now just gone. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to refix them? I was thinking of a few drops of superglue?
Currently Running these for a year Held Air n Dry Gloves GTX - Black Saved me in major 80 MPH crash. Stay dry when they have to as well and some cooling when in summer "side" but not much
Well the Halvarssons are good gloves. Comfortable, well made and a really good fit without being bulky. I can do up my lid with them on and operate zips and find things in my pockets. It'll be interesting to see how warm they are in the autumn. Its just that lining thing. So far so good. The palms move about but the fingers feel secure. I'm very careful taking them off though, especially with sweaty hands. Three season gloves at £105 a pair ought to be good for two years at least really in my book. Will keep you posted.
Don't bother. Lining in one thumb has become detached already. Still usable and they're comfortable, supple and properly waterproof but you've got to take them off gingerly one finger at a time and I can't be bothered with that. There's lots of loose threads hanging off the wrist straps as well and they're not as warm as they look. Bought a pair of Held Wave instead. Properly bonded linings and all round better quality. I'll be very surprised if these let go. They don't have that feel about them. Should have bought them in the first place.
