Does anyone know how easy it will be to swap the front indicator and the top and bottom handguards? My bike came with some damage that needs fixing properly so the dealer (not Ducati) has said for me to purchase the parts or they can. Just wondering how easy it will be as wasn't sure where the indicator plugs in? I need all these 3 parts I think as the screw holders are smashed on the top and bottom guards.
Very straightforward, I’ve replaced about 4! They break very easily (part 27) I haven’t had to replace the actual indicator on this model, they are a bit more robust now. Pretty sure they just plug into the loom under the front fairing. If the dealer is offering to do it then maybe let them unless it’s inconvenient?
The indicator isn't broken as such but the screw holders are so think it would need to be replaced as well. It's not a major problem to get the dealer to do it be fair, so I'll get them to order the parts and then I pop it in as they are local to me anyway.
While they’re at it, get them to fit the black handguards from the 950, as they look loads better than the silver 1260 ones, are exactly the same, and don’t show all the dead bugs. Remember those?!
I think they are a good idea, I’ve dropped bikes twice on tour and it’s a pain in the arse as the clutch/brake master cylinders are attached to them. I usually resort to splinting them with an Allen key and gaffa tape to get me home
I have one black and one silver due to an ordering snafu on my part , going to leave it like that to annoy people
