I have a Garmin Nuvi 2515 Satnav which I use in the car .I thought it might be as well to use this on the bike rather than buying a bike dedicated one which would not be used very often anyway. Has anybody bought a handlebar mount recently which they are happy with for their Satnav? It must be capable of securing a 5 inch model.
i have bought a stem nut and drilled and tapped it to take a ball mount. have not fitted it yet but will let you know how it works regards steve
Hi I have got the same Nav as that on my 1198, I managed to get a spare car mounting plate with the suction pad on and then drilled 2 holes through the plastic base and Tapped 2 I think M4 or M5 holes in the stem nut, the stem nut already has holes drilled through, this has worked for me on my 1198 and my previous 748 I can also use the nav mount to attach a camera, if I get a chance I will post a picture.
