Article in the paper this morning says there's a push on to switch over to digital. No film, no maintenance - except of course accidental paint spillages etc. Speeding fines hit four-year high due to new digital cameras - Telegraph Doesn't say whether they have internet connectivity for instant data gathering. If not, it won't be long. That'll be a proper money spinner.
Natural progression of technology I am afraid to say, as our personal gear gets better and better its only natural that others will follow suit. I was always aware that the static cameras could only capture up to a certain speed, if it goes digital does that mean aanything can be caught on camera?
they culd be used for all sorts of things once there up and running. the ANPR bit will be on 24/7 so could track you on your journey etc. thats why the burning tyre tends to stop this type of thing
