Hi all, I recently purchased a pani899 with 3600 miles in the clock from a UK dealer, I have taken the bike out twice since it was delivered last Wednesday and am veru impressed. I have noticed however a wining noise when in 3rd and 4th gear as I throttle of the noise comes. I am new to the twin engin but know this isn't right as it only happens in the two gears, sorry it's a little fluffy but has anyone encountered similar noises..
Buzz, that's some statement to make!! Back to topic, have you taken it back to the dealer to have it checked?
I called them up and they were less than helpful, suggesting it could be tyer noise which it isn't. I'm having some Termis put in next week and asked the ducati dealer whose installing them (Not the dealer that supplied the bike) to take it for a test ride to get there opinion. The bike has a three month warranty from the Duc dealer I got it from so still well within that window. Little dissociated with the feed back from the dealer I brought it from though, they didn't seem to be interested in aftercare which is a shame as they were very good when I was buying the bike.
Yeah have the main Ducati warranty until October this year, just arranged it to be looked at tomorrow in Cambridge so fingers crossed it's nothing serious. Only had the bike a week..
