  1. Anyone's bike suffer from tank slapper after setting the suspension? I've been running the suspension in fixed for a while now, the steering damper I turned right up, but I've still been getting tank slapper when giving it the beans, suspension sag has been setup, I popped it into dynamic mode in suspension and it wasn't anywhere near as bad, it seemed too have cured it!

What could I have wrong/differently setup? Any you guys settings or that with electronic suspension? Cheers

  2. 200bhp,Shite roads, what do you expect?? At least you fettle with it to sort, same as me...
Try a early fire blade with 130bhp,no damper and 16 inch front wheel, then you will know what a slapper is!!!!!!! lol

  7. Hold on with your knees and not the bars so much mate, relax your arms and hands etc :)

  8. I was told that the trick is to imagine that the bars are made of eggshells and loosen your hold on them.

Sort of works for me, when I remember : o )

  9. yet to experience one. not in any hurry either.

  10. I'm supprised, the electronic Ohlins damper usually keeps everything in check.

  11. I had the biggest head shake I have ever had on any bike the other day, whilst on my 1299s. If I had been on my Daytona I'd of taken up smoking after I'd stopped and got off. But it just felt all under control on the Pani. I try to ride with a very loose grip and just let the bike do what it wants.

After being on track at snett the other week, it was head shaking all over the place coming out of the last corner, but never felt scary at any point. Be light and gentle on the bars, think of them as tubes of tooth paste with the caps open and you don't want anything to leak out.

  13. I changed the suspension back into dynamic mode on the last trackday, it was more settled going up the straight, the front lifts but it's stopped tank slapping. Not sure what was happening in fixed mode, hopefully get another trackday in soon!
