Heading East....

  1. So, on advice from here in the forum I took the old beast across the New Forest to Paul at PG Performance in Eastleigh for a proper going over! Despite the shite weather, I didn’t get wet and the bike ran perfectly...sat on the M27 at 69.9 mph;) no dramas, got a bit hot in rush hour traffic but nothing to worry about. Really good chat with Paul, suggested braided brake hoses, new pads and some work on the suspension which would be a bit saggy with fat git like me on it! Clutch slave cylinder is leaking but overall I’m hoping that mechanically it’s pretty sound. You always take comfort when someone tells you ‘it’ll ride so much better when you collect it’.....bottom of the fairing is a bit ‘flappy’ but nothing that he won’t sort with a bit of tinkering! Let’s get some bloody sun now......

  2. What a beautiful example mate, great looking bike. My next will for sure be a 748 project and restoring it. I miss my old 748 dearly, especially after I had the engine and rear swingarm housing rebuilt by Luigi Moto. My biggest regret of all time was selling that bike.

  3. That does look well :upyeah:
