Hello everyone, Over the last few weeks I've noticed the dipped beam light working intermittently and then in the last couple of days, giving up the ghost altogether... I've gotten around to having a look at it today fully expecting just a replacement bulb to be needed, but have found both ends of the connection plugs to be badly corroded and falling apart..the 2 wires leading to the plug from the front of the bike are also frayed.... Anyone ever experienced similar? Expensive job to put right??
I had the same problem with mine , working intermittently then not at all , same thing when I checked it out , corrosion then I noticed the insulation on the wires was actually melted. I bought 2 ceramic connections for the bulb , cut off the old one and soldered the new one on along with fitting a new bulb , sorted. chz
