Headlight dazzle

  1. I've started using my Multi to commute to work for my new job which involves riding in the dark for the first time. I'm finding that every other car driver on the road is flashing their headlights at me as I appear to be dazzling them. I got the dealer to adjust the headlight a year ago because I was getting flashed even in the daylight then. They said they had adjusted it as low as they would go.

    Anyone else had this problem?

  2. Had it on mine, headlight needs adjusting couple of screws either side of the headlight bracket need turning, it's listed in the manual from memory

  3. Same here, first ride at night was terrifying but I could see the tops of the tress perfectly!

  4. yep ive got the same issue, I asked Snells to have a look at 1st service, and he stuck it on the light machine, and said they were way high, I did a club run with Wey valley advanced on Wednesday and got several compliants from other bikers, to the point they kept waving me past as it was dazzling, and when I came back on my own the main beam was Feckin useless it was way to high, do the screws adjust main beam as well? or should go back to dealers?

  5. Handbook doesn't specify but as there are only two screws for height adjustment and two for left/right I would assume it does both at the same time, it's on page 168 of handbook.

  6. blinding ( excuse the pun ) I will get the book out

  7. You would think they would adjust the lights at the factory, or get dealers to do it as part of the PDI. But no ...

  8. The lights need to be setup depending on your weight, if you requested that the lights were set as part of the PDI you would have to drop into the dealers to get it set correctly.

  9. so what your saying Catweazle is that the reason my lights are up in the trees, is because I am a Fat Bast***d lol

  10. The early bikes had their lights adjusted at the dealers as part of a PDI because they were sent out unadjusted.
I have no idea if this is still the case.

Mine are adjusted to be low for solo, but slap a pillion on plus a load of luggage and they are high again.

satzoomer, what year of bike ?

just wondering if this is still happening with the led equipped 13 bikes...

  11. its a 62 plate but the ohlins type non led

  12. LEDs on my 13 are friggin bright cars flashing all the time had them reset at dealer still the same. Beam pattern on road is good, I think its that were not used to LEDs on bikes.Nice to see where you are going after the crap I'm used to ill put up with the flashing
