Have fitted an aftermarket headlight to my 1000ds project bike Thing is after about 30 seconds it switches off Any ideas? Bike isn’t running As tank off Would that make a difference Any help much appreciated
It's a long time since I had my 1100, but there's something telling me there is a timer in the ECU that turns the ignition circuit off after a while if the engine isn't running. That would also turn the lights off. Could that be the your problem?
They switch off the deadlight to save the battery. On my DVT its substantially less time than that if I do not start the bike.
