The foil type of heat shield inside my 1098 belly pan has failed at the points where the exhaust is closest. Now I get a bit of smoke and funny looks when I come back into the pit box but it won't be long before it deforms the belly pan. What's the best heat shielding to use in there?
I've bought something like this before. Cut it to shape and glue where you need it. I've had no issues.
But that's what is in there and has all peeled up where the exhaust is closest to it (e.g. Where the o2 sensor blanking plug is)
