Hein Gericke UK placed into Administration - | Motorcycle News | Bike News | Motorbike Videos | MCN Sad news. I hope that a buyer can be found and the jobs saved
Hmmm, that's not so good. They've still got my Shoei Hornet, meant to be exchanging it for a TourX4. Guess that won't be happening now - best go recover my property.
Not read the article, but administration doesnt mean doors closed and you've lost your stuff Agree with the point re pricing...but another national bike clothing provider going bust...are peolpe buying cheap kit off ebay these days?!
When ever I went into the Welling branch it was always empty. I did wonder on my last visit how it remained in business!!!
Indeed, but it certainly raises the risk. Easier to just bring it home now from the shop than trying to fight with the administrators because they've walked off with it - at least then when it gets sold I see the money rather than them. Given the circumstances at the moment I sincerely doubt they'll actually stick by their agreement and get me the lid they promised. Anyone for an XL Hornet in black? As new, worn twice.
Never great to see a player in the bike game go into administration. Hope they can find someone to buy them up as a going concern...
possibly but there is a economic downturn and several crap summers in a row it all adds to less sales of bike gear and bikes add to that anti bike incentives to reduce the number of people entering motorcycling and its bads news for the industry as a whole
used to be reasonable prices now they are way to high , but i do think the anti bike policies have damaged the company and this need to be raised at MP level
Not good news, I have a friend who works in the liverpool branch. They also sponsored a pretty quick lad in Thundersport 600. Lets hope the business can be brought back from the brink.
It is a shame that another Bike related company has failed, but I've been into 3 different branches of HG and they were all absolutely shyte. The employees didn't have a clue about customer service, which combined with their high prices was more than enough to keep me away. I will stay loyal to my local dealers and keep my fingers crossed that they keep afloat.
There are some good deals out there. Picked up loads of stuff on the way home today to use up an old gift voucher. Apparently the franchise owners have had issues over the years stripping the UK company of cash, and now just want to dump it...
Well, despite widespread claims of poor customer service as a company I'll give my branch their due, they're still doing well even under adverse circumstances. Had a phone call today asking me to come grab my Shoei "just in case", and that if they were still open in 2 weeks time (as HG, or independantly) the exchange was still on.
