  1. Just signed up. Long time VFR owner looking for something a bit more exotic and exciting. Have only owned Japanese bikes previously though my best mate and touring buddy has a 996.

Have my sights set on a new Multistrada, will be something like September until my financial ducks are aligned and I can make the purchase. Was hoping to have one before this years European tour (Picos in late June) but it wasn't to be.

Had a test ride at Riders of Cardiff a few weeks ago. They only do accompanied test rides and the guy that took us out meant I didn't get out of third or above 50mph so hardly a definitive taste of the capabilities of the machine. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean that the test ride should have been excessively quick but NSL + a little and some decent cornering (i.e. how I want to ride the thing) would have given me a better idea. Low speed capabilities seemed good though  Mentioned this to sales guy both once we were back and later via email, he said "come back and we'll send you out for a more spirited ride". Will take them up on that once I'm closer to buying.

I'm based in Ledbury, Herefordshire so between. and some distance from, dealers. Much of a muchness really but it's Riders (Bristol or Cardiff), Wolverhampton, Coventry or Aylesbury (that last one's a bit further but a nice ride).

Forum seems both active and informative, impressed thus far. Will be mostly lurking for the next few months with maybe the odd question here and there.
