Hi from Cheltenham, been lurking for quite a while now & thought it was time to say hello! Had a monster696 for 5 years then replaced it with a panigale899 last August - never looked back, absolutly love it even though the chain gets rusty
welcome - only four weeks to the festival ? Personally, I'd avoid burgers in Cheltenham until the following month at least
Thanks for the warm welcomes ! Will have a look at that gold chain. It seems that even after plenty of lube it still gets rusty within a couple of rides.
Don't wash it and put it away with a wet chain. Ride it for a couple of miles after a good clean. Anywhere between 2 and 200 miles will do it.
Welcome to ducati ownership....strip it, replace all the fittings with stainless and get friendly with a powder coating outfit.! Other than that brilliant bikes...
Hi, I'm new too but as yet Duc deficient. Just a point on the chain. I've been reading up on this ACF-50 which a lot of bikers swear by, you might want to try it. Google it there some good positive info around
I think you have a point there ! ;0) [DOUBLEPOST=1424350893,1424350701][/DOUBLEPOST] Hi there John, yeah I've always used ACF-50 on my past bikes aswell as my Panigale- great product I'm sure without it my Monster would have been completely eaten up with rust! I used that rain, shine , snow & ice.
