hello , on the devon/cornwall border, near plymouth, been biking for 30 odd years, everthing from a lambretta to sports bikes(R1,s GSXR,s FIREBLADES ) , been green laneing for the last 4 years on 250 to 450 enduro bikes, road legal and currently hav a yamaha WR450F , been considering a ducati since 1994 when i bought a new blade instead, but anyway always liked the 916 shape but never got round to getting one dispite buying a few new sports bikes inbetween, but decided i need to do it now and bought a 996, if im honest i just love it, the handling, the sound ( termis), the look, in my opinion the best looking bike of the last 20 years , just bought some marshsinis? wheels for it and some other bits, wish id bought one years back, ta kev
Better late than never as they say Hello and welcome to the wonderful world of Ducati Enjoy watch out for the locals ;-)
Welcome. The 996 really is a beauty. Ducati at its purest. I was born and lived for most of my life down your way including working in Devonport but now live up near Heathrow. Family all down that way so I often get down. Hopefully in the Summer I will get down to a local Ducatiforum get-together. Tony
Hi Kev and welcome to the forum. I'm in Plymouth and there are other locals on this forum. I've seen your post re. painting the wheels and will follow the answers since I'm contemplating the same. By the way we usually get to Louis Cafe at kit Hill on Sunday mornings but not always on the Ducati and definitely not when it's raining. Alan
