Hello From Edinburgh

  1. Hello all,

I'm currently looking at Ducati's. I have had a Street Triple for nearly 3 years and test rode an 899 in May. That was some test run in the Highlands so I've been thinking of getting one and plan a shot of a 959 to confirm which one is best for me. Not closed to the idea of another model either. See what happens at the dealership...
    Cheers

Hello and welcome to the mad house

    Will it be red :)

  9. Greetings & welcome to the forum.
Got a Tiger 800 at the mo, but looking fr a Multistrada when the weather gets better. Test rode a hyperstrada a while back, nice but a tad small.

  10. Welcome in! When u test ride a 959 it would be good to hear how it compares to the 899 on the roads. There's about 40 pages on the '959' thread of us all moaning about exhausts which is a shame because I bet it's like when Triumph released the new Daytona in 2013, it was night and day but every little piece was 5% better and it made up to a big difference. Good luck and welcome

  11. nobody knows fin in Scotland....hence am still at large.

  13. Thanks Phil. Yeah the exhausts dont look great -prob quieter as well. Seems they negate the extra bhp. It's the slipper clutch that is the main difference. Weather is rubbish so it will be weeks before a nice dry day to test.

  14. I'm sure by March there will be some lovely aftermarket options for the exhaust from Leo Vince and arrow etc

  15. Hi grin factor -I found the hyper' a strange riding position having you right at the front of the bike. Here's hoping on the weather improving!

  16. I had a test ride on a hyper, with a low seat, and started off liking it but after a little while found I really wanted to move back on the seat and you just can't. That killed it for me. I like the looks of it tho.
