Hi All, Just popped in to say hello and that whilst I've been reading posts on here for some time I've never got around to joining in fully. I'm on the outskirts of Nottingham near Beeston and whilst the GF has a Triumph Speed Triple (955i) I'm sort of bike less whilst mine is in bits. Around 18 months ago I picked up an early 900 Monster from a friend which was in bits due to a broken cylinder stud. It had sat in his shed for years and he'd given up on it and wanted rid. £600 later I had a Monster in the back of my car! This summer I picked up a rebuilt 900ie motor for £685 and will keep the other engine for a 944 BBK build. Luckily both engines have big valve heads already fitted. I did plan on a 944 / FCR / lightened flywheel type build but lack of funds have resulted in deciding to build a stock-ish 900 first to ride and a nicer engine a year or so down the line. Previous bikes (recent) have included x2 Tuono's, a 996 Biposto and a TL1000S so I've had to admit that I'm addicted to the sound and power delivery of a big twin. Will be building up the Monster in the new year in my sisters garage and documenting it as I go along... Thanks - Ben
