  1. Hello

I'm new to the forum and even though I've loved ducatis long before I got my license i never owned one.

Been wanting a classic Ducati with dry clutch and single swing arm for years, mostly looking at 916-98 series and 848-1198 but the time never felt right.

After a long and difficult divorce were everyone is taking my money, i thought, now is the time to loose all my money. So I bought a pretty mint 1098s.

Same owner since 2015 who did not drive it much so after taking care of all the service and some minor repairs i had the best and most fun bike I've ever owned. Still have some money left as well.... For more parts and ducatis. There are so many more i what to buy.

That would be all for now.

    Take care

  2. Good morning, and welcome.

  3. How to lose money, get divorced or buy stocks & shares or even purchase a Ducati..........spot on and welcome to the forum.

  4. Welcome to the forum.:)

  5. Welcome, great looking bikes… I’d like to add a 1098 to the fleet but don’t have the space

    Enjoy your new ride :upyeah:

  6. Hälsningar!

Some relationships should be considered in the same vein as cambelts. They are excellent when new, do everything they're supposed to but there comes a time to change.

I think you are on the right track spending your money on a fabulous 1098. With inflation being so high, if you waited a few months you might not have had enough left!

    Enjoy!

  7. Thank you all for the warm welcome.

I'm hoping for Ducati parts to be worth more than money in the near future so I'm "investing".

Coming form working on cars I still find motorcycle parts to be pretty cheap most of the time. Only problem is you buy twice as much because you can so the cost ends up being the same. As lest they are good on gas

  8. Hi - lovely bike! Welcome.

  9. Wait until you get the hang of that beast and wring its neck most of the time. Petrol consumption will likely be much worse than now, though smiles per mile will be high!

  10. Oh, I'm already there. Well, almost at least. It's not like I'm going full throttle everywhere. But compared to going the same speed with modern classic AMG cars it's still a lot cheaper or maybe it's just an illusion since I'm having to much fun
