Hi everyone, Having owned bikes since I was a teanager, they are in my blood. They used to be my daily transport but now are just for fun on dry days! I have a small collection of oldish bikes but my back problems limit me to only riding the Triumph T160 right now. The Ducati 996 SPS sits being pampered in the garage. It should be in the sitting room as a piece of art, but my wife won't have it! I'm looking forward to riding the Ducati again, just not sure when that will be.
Hi Paul and welcome to the forum. I'm in Cheltenham, not far from Cirencester. I run a biking meetup group if you're interested. Social meets, rides and occasional tours. We have a social on Wednesday this week.
Welcome, north Swindon for me, often out that way. I'm riding a Thruxton 1200R on the road these days.
Nice part of the world the Cotswolds. I spend a bit of time in Burford and Chipping Norton (Clarkson country) great biking roads.
You are a dreamer Nelson, although you probably have the right dream. Wish we'd settle in Old Town/Badbury, I am growing to hate north swindon and the almost relentless sound of sirens... Anyway..
Well I didn't expect the mention of The Cotswolds to create so much chat. Yes, there are some great roads, accidently head towards Oxford and it is all rural 50mph roads . Good to hear from those that are local to me and hopefully will catch up before too long. I am live in a small viallge near Bibury, east of Cirencester, just off the glourious B4425 (Cirencester to Burford road). So a regualr run for me is Burford and then up to Chipping Norton, pint at the Falkland Arms in Great Tew and various routes back. Will get out on the road when it warms up!
Welcome Paul! I’m in a small village west of Burford. As you say some great roads round here so looking forward to the weather getting warmer. Have you been to the ‘Classic Motor Hub’ just north of Ablington Mike
Behind birdlip myself so know that way fairly well. Got a large dink in rear multi wheel after hitting a pothole on the burford road at about 130 chasing an Ape! Skyhook didn’t even feel it
